m - Side elevation of a Type 2 hump backed saggar used at Southorn's
King Street Works, Broseley. The saggar is bound by an iron strap
with two butterfly nut adjusters on one end. It is typical of
a number of such saggars from the works, at present in store at
the Jackfield Tile Museum. Late 19th century.
n - Plan view of the same saggar showing the narrowing towards the
centre. Many of these saggars still contain powdered clay in which
the pipes were placed for firing.
