Iron Age Site Description (1979)
This was a tenuous alignment of possible postholes, up to 0.40m in diameter and 0.17m deep, which was set askew to the main enclosure and so a pre-Iron Age date seemed possible. A nearby pit (1631) had no associated finds. Further features, also without dating, were recorded outside the Iron Age enclosure in Test Trench 1 (Fig. 33). However, the narrowness of these trenches ruled out any more fruitful speculation.
