Figurine 372 from the Southbroom hoard has been published as possibly Hercules (Green 1976, 191) but may in fact be the Gaulish hammer god Sucellus. Sucellus is often depicted holding a pot, and sometimes a hammer, but both hands on the Southbroom figure are missing their attributes, thus the identity of this figurine is uncertain. However, he wears a tunic and his stance is similar to other figures of Sucellus from the Continent (e.g. Kaufmann-Heinimann 1977, Taf. 5 no. 6).
