3.27 Juno

Juno, a member of the Capitoline Triad and goddess of childbirth, is a difficult deity to identify as she shares attributes with other female figurines, such as the patera. Possible Juno figures include one from London who stands with her head draped and holding out a round object, possibly an incense box, in her left hand (118). Figurine 209 is of uncertain provenance, although she may come from Chester (Lloyd Morgan 1977, 304), and holds no attributes.
