Two frog figurines have been found at Stanwick, Northamptonshire (696), and Wixoe, Suffolk (639). The figure from Wixoe is small and a fairly naturalistic representation. The frog is one of the creatures associated with the Thraco-Phrygian god Sabazius (Bird 1996).
